Beginner rider days
Learn to ride a dirt bike under the instruction of our qualified and experienced staff. If you have never ridden a motorbike before or have very limited experience, then this is for you! Dirt bike days are open to anyone aged 12 years and older, with a minimum height of 155cm tall. Challenge yourself physically and mentally, and learn to manage throttle, clutch and brake application. These days are predominately based in our training paddock, which is a flat area with marked courses. Should the riders’ skills be up to it the day may include a trail ride as well.

We are 9km down Doctors Flat Road, which is accessed by turning off Wee Jasper Road, this is the only way in. Please note that Doctors Flat Road is a gravel road, however, it is easily accessible by a 2wd standard road car. It is also important to note that there is limited mobile phone reception.

Please bring a water bottle or hydration pack, and it is advised that you also bring a hat and sunscreen. Should the forecast be for rain, please bring a raincoat as well. Snacks are welcome, however, remember that lunch is provided.
Can I bring my own bike?
We do not allow people to bring their own bike for the beginner days, however, people participating in our intermediate ride days have the option to bring their own bike at a discounted rate of $115. If bringing your own bike on an experienced ride day, you must bring your own fuel and the bike must not exceed 250cc. You will also need to sign a disclaimer that states we are not responsible for any damages caused to your bike whilst on our program. Your bike will also be subject to a safety inspection by one of our staff members prior to commencing any riding activity.
If I am an experienced rider, can I still book into the beginner program?
Yes, certainly. This may be applicable if an experienced rider has friends who have not ridden before and wants to bring them along or parents who have experience but want to join their children whilst they learn.
How many other people will I be riding with?
Dirt bike day programs have 12 spaces available. You will be riding with other members of the public, unless you have 12 other people and want to book one of our weekend session dates privately. If this is the case, please contact us first.
What if I fall off?
Falling off happens and it can be part of the learning experience. Full protective gear is provided to minimise the injury when accidents occur. All our staff are first aid trained and we have appropriate safety measures in place. Riders are encouraged to ride within their limits and will be slowed by instructors if their riding is deemed to be dangerous. Our dirt biking risk assessment can be made available if requested.
