That’s a wrap!

The Online Spring Camps were a huge success seeing so many familiar faces, plus some new faces we hope we could warmly welcome into the Mountain Trails family. Keeping to tradition, Clare opened each morning with a dance party encouraging all ages and abilities to join in (and I am truly sorry if my dance moves have scarred your eyes) and an overview of the day’s events!

Throughout the week, campers participated in a range of different activities: relaxing with wellness activities that Angela facilitated, creating wood masterpieces led by Emily, cooking delicious honey joys with Victoria, Connor put on trivia games and a scavenger hunt, and Bruce taught us the art of tying knots.

There were some surprise guests who popped in to say a quick hello, too – the baby goats! The campers enjoyed a quick sneak peek into the nursery where the baby goats are currently living.

Of course, week wouldn’t be complete without Focus time each day. Gary blessed us with his expressive storytelling and creative flare with chalk drawings. The chalk talks taught us about God’s unfailing love and how He has redeemed us back through the blood of Jesus if we accept his invitation.

There was no shortage of obstacles that had to be overcome, but the staff worked together to find solutions and alternatives so that the camp could operate.

A massive thank you to all those who participated, assisted, filmed, led activities, prayed and danced in the lead up and throughout the week.

All praise be to God, without His sovereignty this week would have been a flop!
